Sharing my personal collection of great restaurants in Ulsan..!

I had mulhoe at a sashimi restaurant near the breakwater at Jeongja Port. They slice fresh live fish and pour in a broth with crushed ice; it is heavenly to eat in the summer. Since Jeongja Port also has a direct sales market for snow crabs, I recommend a course of snow crabs in winter and mulhoe in summer.

I tried boiled whale meat for the first time in Jangsaengpo. It was fascinating to see how the textures varied completely depending on the cut, and the accompanying whale soup was also impressive with its rich broth. It is a great course to enjoy after touring the Whale Culture Village.

I visited the main branch of Busan Eomuk in Yeongdo. The style involves picking and choosing from dozens of different fish cakes displayed like a bakery, with the cheese and shrimp fish cakes being the most popular. Finishing off with a bowl of fish cake udon makes for a perfect meal. It is also great to take home as a gift set.
