I visited a seafood kalguksu restaurant inside Bupyeong Market. The broth is refreshing with plenty of clams, and the noodles are thick and handmade. Barley rice is served as a complimentary side dish, making for a hearty meal when mixed into the broth. With reasonable prices, it is the quintessential market kalguksu.

I had a basket of fried shrimp and blue crab stew at the Soraepogu Fish Market. The freshly fried shrimp were crispy all the way to the heads, so I ate them whole. During the autumn blue crab season, blue crab stew packed with meat is the way to go. It is also a great place to browse the market and buy some fermented seafood.
