A shark has appeared in the waterway of Busan North Port Waterfront Park. 🦈 On the morning of September 18, 2026, a bull shark about 3.5 m long was first spotted in the sea-connected waterway of North Port Waterfront Park in Choryang-dong, Dong-gu, Busan. Circling the narrow channel for days, it was nicknamed 'Bukangi' (a play on 'Bukhang', North Port) by locals — a name the Busan Facilities Corporation now uses too. The promenade runs right along the waterway, so you can watch a wild shark up close with no aquarium glass. 30,000 people came on the first weekend alone and 40,000 within five days, turning the park into a 'free aquarium'. Visitors arriving by KTX have brought a buzz to the Busan Station area and nearby businesses. 📍 Where to see it • Waterway promenade, North Port Waterfront Park, Dong-gu, Busan (10–15 min walk from Busan Station, next to Busan Port International Passenger Terminal) • Free, no reservation.
