Gyeonggi Original Food Street Tour — Galbi, Budaejjigae, and Rice
Gyeonggi Province is a great destination for a road trip, as every city features a street dedicated to its original food. Suwon’s Fried Chicken Street has long lines every evening, so it is convenient to enter before 5 PM; for fried chicken, the half-and-half option (fried and seasoned) is the standard choice. For Uijeongbu’s Budae Jjigae, be sure to check the standard ramen noodle composition before ordering extra toppings. In Icheon, many rice restaurants do not offer single-serving table settings, so it is safer to visit with two or more people.
