Malacca Jonker Street Gourmet — Chicken Rice Bowl and Satecheloop
Malacca is the home of Nyonya (Peranakan) cuisine. The famous Chicken Rice Ball is a Hainanese chicken rice dish where the rice is molded into a ping-pong ball, and the long-standing stalls at the entrance of Jonker sell out early in the day. Since the Jonker Night Market is held from Friday to Sunday evenings and many Sate Chelub (skewered hot pot) restaurants only open in the evening, the standard itinerary is Chicken Rice Balls and Cendol during the day, and Sate Chelub at night.
