Kobe Beef & Nankinmachi — A Culinary Stroll Through the Port City of Kobe
At Kobe Beef Steak House, the lunch course is about half the price of the dinner course, so visiting for lunch is the way to go. Reservations are essential at popular spots (via website or phone). Nankinmachi Chinatown is a 10-minute walk from Sannomichi Station, and cash is convenient for street food like Butaman. I recommend a walking route that includes the long-standing kissaten on Kitano Ijinkan Hill.
