Gourmet Food Next to Nara Deer Park — Mochi Making Show and Pilgrimage to Old Shops
This is a walking gourmet course combined with sightseeing at Nara Park. The high-speed mochi pounding show at Nakatani-do does not have a fixed schedule, so you have to leave it to luck, but freshly pounded Yomogimochi is delicious no matter when you buy it. Many of the long-standing shops in Naramachi close early in the evening, so it is safer to visit between lunch and the afternoon. The famous Kakinohazushi (persimmon leaf sushi) is also great to take away and eat on the train.
