Beppu Jigokumushi & Toriten — Delicacy Steamed with Hot Spring Steam
We have gathered the unique delicacies of Beppu, the hot spring city. Jigokumushi is an experiential dining experience where you steam your food yourself using hot spring steam; since waiting times of up to an hour are common on weekends, we recommend spending some time in an Ashiyu (foot bath) after purchasing your ticket. The long-standing restaurants in front of Beppu Station feature distinct local dishes such as Toriten (fried chicken) and Beppu cold noodles. You will travel to the Kannawa area by bus.
