Vung Tau Banh Khot & Seafood — A Culinary Expedition to the Seaside Near Ho Chi Minh City
Vung Tau is a popular day-trip destination for gourmet pilgrimages, as it takes about two hours from Ho Chi Minh City by ferry or bus. The long-standing stalls selling the famous banh khot (mini shrimp pancakes) mainly do business from morning through lunch, and it is cheaper to buy seafood at the market and grill it on the spot. Getting around the city is sufficient with a Grab motorbike, so be sure to bring plenty of cash (Vietnamese dong).
