Alishan High Mountain Cuisine — Fenqihu Train Lunch Box and Zhou Ethnic Group Wild Vegetable Meal
Alishan is a high-altitude region at 2,200 meters above sea level, so the food is provided by the mountain. The train bento box at Fenqihu, an intermediate station on the forest railway, is a tradition for hikers' lunches. A gourmet course is completed by tasting alpine wasabi, wild vegetable dishes, and Aiyu jelly in the shopping district on the mountain, and combining it with an indigenous meal at a Zou village on the way down.
