Restaurants Amidst Orchard Shopping — From Newton Hawker to the Original Killiney Kaya Toast

5 Pins

Orchard has a surprisingly dense mix of department store food courts and long-standing restaurants. Newton Food Centre is just one subway stop from Orchard; since it was featured in the movie *Crazy Rich Asians*, there is aggressive touting with tourist prices, so be sure to check the price list before ordering. The food courts in the basement of department stores are pleasant if you avoid the office worker rush between 12 and 13 pm.

Sambal stingrays and BBQ shrimp are the signatures. You can't go wrong if you follow the line of people instead of the hawking stalls.
